This is a book written by Mark Twain and published in 1884. The controversy around this book continued for almost a century. Mark Twain was a staunch opponent of slavery and racism. Racism in Huckleberry Finn essay is made me think on the issue. If you want to get more information on this issue, read essays about racism.

Before you start reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, it is recommended to read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for learning the story of two young adventurers from the beginning. So, the plot is following: the widow Douglas takes for the re-education Huckleberry (Huck) Finn. Woman pities the boy and wants to grow him into a respectable citizen. Huckleberry barely adjusts to a new life. A prim and proper environment seems to the boy just unbearable. Huck is forced to go to school, to dress well and to learn good manners. Once Finn learns that in the city where he lives his father comes – an alcoholic and a tramp. The father learns that Huckleberry made a fortune. This man stole his son from the widow’s house. Father wants to reclaim his son and dispose of his wealth. Huckleberry was able to escape from his unreliable parent. Finn wants to settle on a small island near the city. Once, this small plot of land was uninhabited. Now there lives escaped from his owner African-American boy Jim. Huck and his new friend decided to go to the Northern States where no slavery. They could move at night and only by water because they could face a severe punishment.

On the way to the North friends meet two swindlers who are calling themselves the King and the Duke. Scammers are happy to join the strange company. Huck likes the agility with which fraudsters deceive the simple-minded inhabitants of small towns encountered on their way. However, when the King and the Duke attempt to deceive three orphans Huckleberry decided to intervene. To cheat the orphans is unjust. Actually, every essay on cheating tells it. So, this scam, due to the actions of Finn, was snapped and the scammers called the cops and turn Jim in. They did it for revenge Huck and in order to receive the award.

Trying to save Jim, who can be sold in the southern States on cotton plantations, Huckleberry is looking for his friend Tom. Huck is sure that Sawyer will not refuse to help him. The best friend has met expectations. Tom not only helped to organize the escape but turned it into a vivid picture. It turns out, however, that the escape was organized in vain. Jim’s owner is no longer alive. Before she died she managed to give her slave a freedom.

Analysis of the book

The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn analysis essay will show a little bit of my thoughts. Mark Twain has two wonderful characters of his works: Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. They are favorites of all children and youth around the world. The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn is unquestionably a masterpiece. Every child must read it. The book is full of adventure. The plot is unpredictable and very interesting. But most importantly is that this book is able to tell about the American morals like no other. Exactly this book helps to understand the lifestyle and culture of the United States just in the process of reading. It describes not only the life of the Americans of the 19th century but also the customs, the psychology of small American towns as well as certain points in the history of the time. In the book there is humor, which easily allows you to look at the not humorous events, that in fact reveals the profound shortcomings of the American way of life, sometimes leading to catastrophic events.

In my critical essays on Huckleberry Finn Huckleberry, I want to notice that Mark Twain surprised me with a complex of feelings and emotions that I get from work. First, the author constantly refers to other novels of Huck Finn’s friend –Tom Sawyer. Later, with the development of the plot the reader understands that Huck will have a few obstacles and twists and turns of life, that this is not a fairy tale about the guys who invent adventures.

Also, there is noticed a global problem of slavery and the infringement of the rights of African-American people. There is shown a lot of people, characters and subplots. The entire picture saved the appearance of Tom Sawyer. He brought in a book a lot of funny and amusing moments, and reveals the truth: while Huckleberry Finn fought with all the difficulties that life has given him, he didn’t notice how grew up, at that time when Tom remained the same kid who read a lot of books about robbers and dreamed of the same glory. But at the same time, he became nobler, more honest and more responsive. And we should learn it from him! My Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn essay proved it.

Mark Twain described in his book the secret desires of every child. For example, it can be the true friendship. To find a friend and a close minded person is very difficult even in 30-40 years. Meanwhile, the presence of a true friend who shares all the joys and sorrows is vital for every child. The presence of the parents also plays a huge role in the formation of personality. But the presence of coeval is no less important. Without a companion, who is able to support in difficult times the childhood of child cannot be called happy.
